Fish is great, and there are so many different kinds! We have it once a week or so, and the boys love it.

In Ireland we eat a lot of salmon, though mostly raw or smoked as cooked salmon is mingin' . Its much better than eating fatty steakes and burgers.

Its a shame that Belfast has closed down a lot of the traditional bars that used to make excellent fish recipies, however there is an excellent restaurant in Portrush called 'Harbour View', so check it out Shell - best fish you ever had!

Fish is great. I just don't like the fatty species, otherwise I like fish a lot. Someone could start something like KFC, just with good fish instead of undercooked chicken. :p

You have never tried 'Long John Silvers' Chev! It's like the McDonalds of fish and chips, though I doubt they use real fish. Its not whole fish flakes anyway.

They had quite a few of those 'restaurants' scattered thoughout Pittsburgh.

Oh, yes, fish is good. Especially salmon in what we call papillot. Wrapped in tin foil and lightly grilled in the oven. Yummy.

    I'm with BA.

Beef. Pork. Fowl. That's the ticket for me.

I've tried to eat fish (and turtle and alligator and snake and ...), but it's not enjoyable.

I love fish - especially when it's battered in a nice, heart attack inducing fish supper! :)

Just about any type of fish tickles my fancy more often than not.

There are a couple of nice restaurants where my parents live, specialised only in grilled fish. No fat, just pure flavour. :yum:

Then, again, after having tasted some deep-fried Irish cod in batter with a bag of really, really oily chips I don't know if I would ever go back to healthy stuff... :p

And you should try a grilled swordfish steak with nothing added but a bit of lemon juice and freshly cut parsley...

Love fish. Halibut steaks are wonderful but very expensive. Tuna salad makes a great lunch. Kind of funny that you posted this thread today because I was just thinking how strange it is that I opted to eat fish for breakfast.

@Colthrun - You might want to be careful of your intake of swordfish. It and shark are noted for their extremely high levels of mercury.
