Playing this game solo sure could use some stocking features. Where do you find these bags and cases at?

I don't know if you've played this game before or not, so spoiler alert:

After the first dungeon in SOD, you'll end up in the Ducal Palace in Baldur's Gate. From there, you can visit some of the same localities.

If memory serves, you find a gem bag in the first dungeon
Sorcerer's Sundries has a potions bag
You'll meet quartermaster Belegarm (I think his name was) eventually and he has a bag of holding

@Drugar - OP probably wasn't asking about SoD, this is the BG1ee forum.

@Sorvo - you get a scroll case by doing Firebead Elvenhair's miniquest in Beregost (but speak to him with the PROTAGONIST, not some other party member). You get a gem bag by rescuing Neera in Beregost (and letting her join - the bag is in her inventory - and of course you can then dismiss her if you don't want her). You get a potion case by buying it from Thalantyr in High Hedge. There's only one of each type of container until you reach SoD. And there's no Bag of Holding until SoD.

I also strongly recommend installing the G3 Tweaks Anthology, successor the Ease of Use mod.
    https://www.gibberlings3.net/mods/tweaks/tweaks/
One component increases the size of item stacks.
Those bags and cases are still very useful however. The mod can make them bottomless, making them even more useful.
It may not be as realistic, but will vastly improve your quality of life and let you enjoy the game instead of have to do constant inventory management.
