[IMG] OK. I did the search and didn’t find anything on this and at least I am curious to know what everyone else is doing, so here goes. How many people are preparing for NWN through SoA and ToB? Is anyone or are you just going to generate virgins in NWN? The reason I ask is because this could have a decided affect on how I play my characters now. For instance, one of my favorite characters has been, of course, a Kensai/Mage DC, but I expect that type of character to be common (albeit modified for the 3ADD rules) for NWN, so is anyone planning or have they run a char thru SoA with the express intent of importing to NWN?

Therefore, I’m thinking of running a new char through SoA just for NWN and want it to be rather uncommon. Maybe a Halfling mage or Orc cleric. Any ideas?

I dont think any experience or such will port to NN since its a new engine and a new system.

I think My dear old Blade Fafhrd will retire and concentrate on the wenches.

That's right; it's not likely your imported character will retain anything of his/her uniqueness after the import. It's probably about the same as if you created him/her from scratch (and probably better).

Don't worry about preparing the character, most 'worlds' will be starting afresh with new 1st level characters with 0xp. What will take some getting used to is Roleplaying online in realtime with 'friends' scattered around the world. When you attack the monsters, will they back you or run like schoolgirls? How will people co-operate? Those are the areas I'm interested in exploring pre-game.

the only preperation you can have is to familiarize yourself with 3e rules, and get ready for a new crpg experience. This game is gonna be nothing like the oher crpgs so ther is no real preperation. All you can do is combine what you know of table-top, and bioware crpgs, and hope it helps.
