    [​IMG] I had to empty my private messages inbox today because I reached the limit, and I noticed that about 20 PMs that I sent to various people even months ago have not been read. And this is PMs to regulars on the boards...

    People, it is your DUTY to check the PM inbox at least once every week. I know it sucks not having any real means of PM notification when you come to the boards, but that's no excuse. If you don't check your PM inbox, set it so that it mails you when you get a new PM.

    Just in case it's not dead obvious enough - you can check your PMs by clicking on the "my profile & private messages" link on every page.

    My first response to your post was to go check my PM's ... lol ... you just deleted them all!

    I used to get an e-mail when I had a PM, did that feature go away?

    [​IMG] What do you mean I deleted them all? The only time the PMs were deleted was when I upgraded the board months ago.

    As for e-mail notification, this is still an option, as I said in my post. You can set it in your PM preferences.

    Tal I have it set for email response and there you can read the PM in your inbox but it doesnt registered as read for the sender until they read through the boards so many of the PM's can have been read, just not on the boards.

    Sorry about not checking. I think I did the first few times after I joined up, then realized "Hey, I'm not getting any of these darn things anyway..." and promptly forgot all about it. Still haven't received any to date, so I don't feel too guilty.

    joacqin, stuff I send out to people requires response inevitably. ;)

    When I upgrade the boards again I'll make it so that it doesn't mail you the contents of the PM any more, just let you know to check it here.
