[IMG] I've completed the series through the end of Throne of Bhaal. I'm starting over at the beginning of SoA (ToB is still installed) with a different character.

Problem is that I'm stuck in Irenicus' dungeon on the first level. The sewer golem won't talk to me (too busy to talk) even though I've got the activation stone.

    Anyone else seen this?

You've probably done this laready but i'll write it anyway. have you tried to start a new game? maybe if you do that it'll work... i mean it's not like you've come that far so it shouldn't matter right?

[IMG] I tried that... no joy. :(

What I'll probably do is just uninstall everything and reinstall SoA by itself, try my saved game and then start from scratch. You're right I haven't gotten that far, would actually take about 10 minutes to get to that point again really!

I read somewhere on another post that it might be a Win2K issue, I originally played the game on Win 98. Hmmm....

I highly doubt that it is a Win2k issue. Do you have that latest ToB patch installed? Here are two things that should help:
1.) Download the latest ToB patch, install it and start a new game.
2.) If that doesn't work, download the Dungeon-B-Gone Mod from SP...that way, you don't have to deal with that gloem at all. :rolling:

It sounds like you've got the 'XXX appears busy' bug, which is well known. I think that's fixed by the patch, but you can check on the description on the bug fixes page here in SP.

Interesting point, it works on my Windows 98 box, same saved game, same software (SoA installed with ToB, no patches).

It might be a Win2K problem that was addressed by a patch at some point but the OS does seem to make a difference.

    Just FYI.

    Yeah, it is that problem.

I had it with Windows XP, though it also occurs to Windows 2k. So I checked the bioware site, and low-and-behold, there was the bug I was suffering from.

Just download the patch, install it, and you should be as right as rain.

All I have to do now is sort out my Graphics card issues.

I have win2k and i never encountered that problem... another way of solving it is just pickpocketing the key off the golem with imoen :) although no exp...

Hmm, you probably got the latest patch if it never occured. Either that or you were just darned lucky.
