I've had a slight problem with the custom portraits that I have downloaded here from SP. I copy them to the created Portraits directory, but in the portrait selection screen, some of them are fine, but a good portion appear only as white blanks. Anybody else had this problem before?

I've had the same problem. DUnno how to fix it. I just deleted the ones that didn't work right.

Portraits used in NWN need to have a small blank area below them and be in targa format. If one or the other of these aren't true, then you can't use the portrait in game.

You'll have to either edit the ones that don't work, or delete the problematic portraits.

[IMG] If you tell me which portraits and in which collection (file name), I might be able to do something about it.

I had a similar problem but only some of them were really bad, meaning too much or not enough blank space at the bottom. But alot of them had names that were too long and then the game engine can't handle them and puts in blank pictures instead. IIRC the maximum name length is 15 characters.

IIRC the troublesome portraits were in the 6 Fantasy Portraits Packs

You'll have to be a little more precise than that. I don't really have time to go checking each individually.

thanks for all your replies guys. I found that the problem was with the names being too long. just renamed the pics and that fixed it.
