    1. is the creation of character class based on how you distribute ability points?

    i.e. put more points in:
    str = fighter
    dex = thief
    int = mage

    if i'm wrong about this, tell me how to create a certain class. and btw, how many classes are there in torment?

    2. how do i choose alignment?

    Question 1: No, you choose what class you will be by talking to various individuals.
    Question 2: You dont, your alignment changes with your actions.

    There are four classes in Torment, fighter, mage, thief and cleric. Your main character can't be a cleric though. He always starts as a fighter, but can switch classes later in the game (Hint: try ragpicker's).

    Wisdom is important, even though you can't be a cleric, but it gives you bonus experience points. Intelligence gives you more dialogue options, which isn't only useful to magi.

    yes, i noticed that wisdom can affect your experience in a good way, and that intelligence gives you more options with dialogue. that puts me in another problem, when do you think is the best time for me to pump points into intelligence? i mean since i'm just in the beginning, i was thinking that strength and constitution should be my first options (for the hitpoints, and just to get out alive, or is there a lot of fighting in the beginning. i'm still in the mortuary -- i said this because i read somewhere that you actually gain points to increase your abilities).
