Question re cheating

    When I first played BG1 I recall being able to fiddle the party a bit to export a character out, then import another (pre-prepared, with good items), distribute items, then swap the two back again. It was most useful with Drizzt: you could save twice before killing him in one game, then export the character with his items into the other game and get his stuff with no loss of rep.
    Trouble is, I cannot now remember how it was done; the other difference is that I am now playing on a 3 disc set with TOTSC included, rather than the original 5 discs. Does TOTSC bar you from doing this?

    I don't believe so. It's been years since I did the export swap though, but it worked for me with TotSC.

    Um, no. TotSC was never meant to close off exploits. If anything, it added more.

    @lasgalen i belive what you are thinking of is starting a "multipalyer game" and assign all palyers to yourself. Then you can just go to arbitrations screen whenever you want and export/import your character.

    Personally i think you should just Though it up and take the rep hit, and live in your infamy of slaying Drizzt the insufferable munchkin.

    Uh, if you are going to cheat, why not just CLUAConsole the items right out. It is a lot easier, and you don't take any hit on your rep. If you don't know how look here http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/dl.php?s=BG&f=BG/BG_cheat_list.zip

    Dan Simpson had a great list of all the item with descriptions, but it has dissappeared.
