Which romance is your favorite? Which do you dislike the most?

Did not count Anomen, as I have never tried.

Disliked: Solaufein. I just didn't enjoy this aspect of the mod as much, although it is an excellent addition and provides some hellaciously tough battles.

Anomen was less annoying when romancing him but I still had to kick him out!

If I take games too seriously, Viconia would get me all hot and bothered!

Aerie was definately the most annoying 'my wings, my wings, my ******* wings!

I am currently trying out Jaheria and things are going well.

 

In order from my favourite to least favourite

My favourite would have to be Jaheira by a narrow margin over Viconia.

I dislike the Anomen romance but I find his annoying ego problems no where near as annoying as Aerie's constant whining.

 

Jahiera is my favorite, althoughI do think it would actually have to last longer before the flirting really begins. It sometimes begins mere days after we exit chateau irenicus.

Viconia I only did once and can't really remember everything about it, but I did think the alignment change should have been left out. She's evil and after all she has been through in her life a simple question 'should I change?' is IMHO not enough to change how she is and what she has been through.

Arie and Anomen are anoying but with Arie I still get the need to protect her while Anomen is just a stupid a$$ and I think the romance would be a lot better if you had the option to tell him to stop with the egoboosting and start acting normal. This would be a better way to start a romance then to have to stroke his ego. But after this period, I started to like the romance, it's just the annoying first part I really don't like.

 

Although I've attempted many times to complete the Jaheira romance, I've come upon problems - either I encountered bugs, or I met an NPC I liked, so I've never finished it. I haven't done Anomen either. Out of Aerie and Viconia, I preferred Aerie, although I liked the Viconia one too.

Of the mod NPCs, the only one I've completed was Fade, which was very good. I preferred her to the standard ones.

 

Like: Viconia, Edwin, Anomen.

 

I agree with Cesard that Anomen was less annoying when romancing him.

He's my favourite romance in the game (note that I haven't tried any other romances )

And the part where he compares Noemie to a rare flower (though I wonder where he found a rare flower in the Bridge district - For some reason I get that dialougue always in the Bridge District) is kind of cute. But that's probably because it was poetic.

 

@thundar: is there an alignment change in one of the mods, or is it in the unmodded BG II? I haven't seen that (mind you, I haven't romanced viconia much either).

 

Viconia's alignment change can occur in the unmodded TOB portion of the game. I think that there are detailed instructions as to how to do this in Dan Simpson's walkthrough.

 

@ Alavin. Where did you find Fade? My personal favorite was Jaheira. Least favorite was Aerie, but I still enjoyed it.

well, maybe it is obvious... still my fav is by far Jaheiras. least fav is the insipid Aerie

 

Favorite is a close tie between Jaheira and Viconia. I can never quite figure out which one I like more...

Didn't like Aerie's. It had some potential (the encounter with the wraith in TOB is excellent), but overall I agree with Cesard

Never tried Anomen, and will not do so anytime soon

While I've never tried role-playing a female character, I was actually thinking of doing so to try out the Solaufein and Kelsey mods. Hm...
