While I'm waiting for my new computer (Should've gotten it by now but due to the stupidity of the guys at multitronic it's still going to take two more weeks  ) I've been playing a lot of the old games that I have, one of them being Red Alert 2 + Yuri's Revenge.

I've never played it online before so I decided to give it a try.
The trouble is that every time I try to make an account it says that the game says that I'm not connected to the internet, even though I am. After doing some research on the internet I found out that the reason for this problem is that WOL (Westwood Online) is down and that Westwood Studios is dead (!) Crap.

But it seems there's an alternative server to play on called xwis. So I went to their site and downloaded the tool which would let me to connect to their server, but the REAL problem is that I still need to have an account which I should've gotten by registering my game and that's not going to happen since both Westwood Studios and their site is long gone... And I wasn't able to find much help to my problem at the xwis site either.

So wondererd if anyone here, who plays RA 2 online, know if there's a solution to my problem.

Gamespy Arcade supports it, though I've no idea what sort of traffic it sees these days.

Posted this topic 10 minutes too early as I was able to find out that to get an account on xwis you only have to write a name and password in the normal log-in screen to WOL and it would automatically register at xwis :)

There's actually quite a few people still playing this game online.
