I have a former human fighter that got reincarnated into a centar. Personally I believe he should be able to take the spirited charge feat. At the moment he has Dodge mobility and spring attack.
I also feel that spring attack translates into ride by attack.
Any ageements or disagreements to this?

I'd say most of it is up to your DM. In your new form it is true that some feats make more sense than other. A sring attack is different than a ride by attack but the second appears more reasonable in your new condition. Spirted charge sense like a reasonable feat for your next slot all things considered. If i was your DM I'd take a good look at the centaur description and determine what worked for the campaign. You just want to be careful not to effect game balance. You shouldn't have an advantage over the other PCs in the game or it won't be as much fun for them.

Personally, I'd say no. I'd treat the Centaur like any other PC, even if he has four hoves. The mounted combat feats seem more for, well, mounted combat. I wouldn't treat your new form as a state of perpetual mounted combat in battles. I'd simply treat it as anyother PC. Course naturally that's just an opinion. I'm no DM, whose decision it's ultimately up to. But if you feel strongly about it, try to iron something out between the two of you. Surely compromise and keeping the players happy is the name of the game, unless he's a sadistic DM of course ;)

[IMG] I believe that you could be able to get the attacks but in time i.e. warhorses are not born they are trained. And being human and now a centaur I think it would take some time befor you to get used to walking not to mention attacking with weapons and hooves. Its like if you grew 2 feet taller over night you it would take you some time getting familiar when to duck.

Actually This came up when I was talking with a friend who wanted to play as a centar. Fortuanly I don't have to make a decision as I dont have the Monster manual yet amd thus we aren't playing yet. At that point I will be DMing and I brought that up here as an example.
Oh and feel free to post any other cases like this you can come up with so we can debate them.
