    A big newspaper here had this to report from E3:

    NWN is to be released simultaniously in USA and Europe.

    They also said that the release date is 18 june, but that can't be right since they haven't even started the beta testing of the game.

    But it's good to hear that they are releasing it at the same time In us and europe, that will probably save them from a lot of pirat copying too....

    Indeed. It is so annoying to see people on this board playing a game that you can't play yet :) Well, I don't think that the beta-testing will cause too much delay. It's always some small errors that have to be fixed... I think it is possible to release the game in the end of June. I would be glad.

    I think the Jume 18th date is a little optimistic. Beta testing is starting next week and will most likely run for two to three weeks. After that you still have to clean up the code after you made tons of fixes and such. That should take another week at a minimum. So it may go gold around the end of June with a release date in early to mid July. If they are planning a world wide release it maybe even longer for all the printing/shipping.

    They should have released the beta of the game too and had a few selected official betatesters that they would have ongoing contact with while all the rest would post their comments on the boards give them +5 pages every day.

    They couldn't do that - they wanted everyone who is betatesting the player client to sign a NDA, and if it were available to everyone, this would have been impossible..
