    [​IMG] so I have this laptop which is kind of old, but was wanting to put IWD2 on it to play it on the move...
    It's a P2 233...
    Should I even bother to try?
    FYI, BG2 works on it.
    any experienced advice would be apreciated!

    I have a P2 266 laptop with 64mb RAM and it runs on mine, it is just a little slow compared to my desktop.

    IWD works better with Win 2000 as compared to Win XP too. Having an older comp is actually an advantage for games with this engine.

    I think win98 would be even better for a slow computer.

    That's because Win98 is using the FAT32 compression system. FAT32 is faster than NTFS, but NTFS is more stable.

    Win 98 also requires a lot less RAM-memory to start. With such a slow PC U really should optimize for speed to play the game, not try the stable route.
