I know this has been asked about seven thousand times, but I have read a few times that you can change the windowed resolution from 640x480 to 600x800. How do I do this?

    simply no you can't.

Also just for the record it is 800x600 not the other way around (You'd not like the look of that!)

The only ways to do this would be to re-engineer the engine, or convert the game over to one of the other versions of Infinity engine that supports higher resolution (iwd1-how, bg2, iwd2).

And due to the uniqueness of PST I don't think that would ever work.

GemRB might be able to do it some day.

Also can't figure out what peole find the big deal with the higher reslutions ? if windowed mode 800*600 on a 1024*768 resolution desktop you would still have LESS screen for the game than 640*400 fullscreen. So what's the point ?

Heck running the game in something like a 1024*768 resolution would make everything more difficult to read, and near impossible to separate the characters from eachothers as it is.

I agree, higher than 800x600 resolutions are not better in IE games. Everything gets so micro that playing the game becomes rather painful. And a major eye-sore.

Then again, even though 640x480 in IWD-BG games has a certain charm to it, if I can play at 800x600, I will, as that's better, and optimum for seeing the whole combat area, IMHO. ToB and HoW enables 800x600 for BG2 and IWD1 respectively, and IWD2's minimum resolution is 800x600 already!

Too bad PST does not have higher than 640x480 options. If it had an expansion they might have put it there, but as for now, well, I can live with it, especially when the game itself is THIS good! :thumb:
