    Hello and good days,

I was not able to play NWN because I had a damn obsolete computer. Now I can and I have the platinum edition.

I started up as a wizard. Right now I am in the prisons in the peninsula district of the city of Neverwinter.

The thing is because I am a damn wizard my thief Henchman and my familiar kills everybody while I look like a clown because by the time my damage spell reaches an opponent he drops dead by a blow from the two aforementioned charaters.

To prevent this I have to rest a lot as a low level wizard and to be able to rest I have to run through a lot of orridors and even pass to other areas. Due to the annoying "You cannot rest while enemies are nearby" thingy.

Come on this is not table top frp\rpg everybody knows that no one will open a door to catch me sleeping.

So is there any fix or mod you can suggest that help about resting.

    Thanks in advance.

I don't know of any, but I've played a mage and a sorcerer, and resting was never really an issue for me. The beginning areas are probably problematic in your case because they're filled with hostiles on every step, but most of the game has plenty of areas where you can rest. I'd just let the henchmen take the brunt of the attacks in the beginning. You'll have plenty of opportunities to get into melee later on.

By the way, I've deleted your duplicate thread. Please consult the forum rule #15.

Resting in NWN is a pain as you have to have monster not near you; even if they are on the other side of the door. As for damaging you should be fine with a Wizard or Sorcerer. I never take a hirling in the OC as I find them useless. As for the fimiliar I take Pixie since she opens chest and disable traps.
