    What party combination includes 4 fighter, 4 wizard/sorc, 2 cleric, and 1 rogue just to survive?

    [IMG] Start with:
    3 fighters (2 human)
    1 sorcerer
    1 human cleric / MC fighter-cleric / Druid
    1 thief/bard

    - Dual one fighter to cleric at level 9
    - Dual one fighter to mage at level 9
    - Dual the cleric to fighter at whatever level you see as appropriate (or make an MC character or a druid!)
    - Sorcerer and thief/bard stay as they are

    -> 4 fighters, 1 keeping leveling up
    -> 2 magic-users (mage and sorcerer)
    -> 2 priests (maybe a druid, see above)
    -> 1 rogue

    HAVE FUN!!!

    €DIT: Duh, you wanted 4 mages?!
    Well... here comes:

    2 F/M/C (multiclass)
    1 F/M (multi- or dualclass)
    1 Sorcerer (I love these ;) )
    1 Rogue (Thief/Bard)
    1 Fighter/Ranger/Paladin whatever

    Have you played IWD2 Maertyn? IWD2 have 3ed rules and though multiclass is alot freer it isnt very wise to have lots and lots of multiclassed characters. No one will excel at what they do. In BG dualclasses were great as you could have 9ftr levels and then 20 wizard levels in one game. That is not really the case in IWD2. It takes as long as level to a level 10 fighter from level 9 as to a level 1wiz/9fighter. Pretty good to combine fighters and rogues or barbarians or perhaps to give your wizard one or two fighter levels for feats and HP but when all things are considered it is alot better to go pure otherwise you will never get any decent spells. In normal mode and with your party Maertyn the spellcasters wouldnt be able to cast perhaps more than level 5 spells at the end of the game.

    I don't really understand what you want. 4 fighters, 4 mages, 2 clerics and 1 rogue; all at a time!?! :eek:
    OK, take this :) :
    Shield or Gold Dwarf - Battleguard of Tempus 30 // (1 ftr+1 clr)
    Tiefling - Rogue 10/Wizard 20 // (1 mage+1 rog)
    Aasimar - Paladin of Mystra ?/Sorcerer ? // (1 ftr+1 mage)
    Human - Monk of the Old Order 20/Druid 10 // (1 ftr+1 mage+1 clr)
    Drow - Sorcerer 30 // (1 mage)
    Half Orc - Barbarian 26/Fighter 4

    Hmm, I can use this one :D Once they reach high enough levels(beyond 20), they can be very effective if built well.

    If that's not what you want, then what is it?
    However, it's not advisable to MC casters as joacqin suggested.
