    Wow, a new resource chain!

    Sunflower grows -> sunflower dies -> remains of sunflower crushed underground -> sunflower becomes oil -> corporations take oil -> oil processed into plastic -> plastic made into cover -> cover thrown away -> seeds a sunflower

    Nice trick. Bit of a gimmick though.

    Although it's nice that it exists...people would have to actually plant their cell phone cover in their yard for it to actually make an impact at the landfills...how's a sunflower going to grow when it's being crushed under 10 tons of other garbage? And when it does become "soil" what good will it be? It will still be taking up space at the landfill. Although it is a step...it seems to me that it is a step in the wrong direction. :rolling:

    If it is indeed biodegradable as they say, you would throw it in the compost pile and not the landfill.

    That's my point...the company is relying on the general pubilc to go out of their way to not throw something in the trash can...in my experience the general pubilc doesn't have enough brain matter between their ears to ever do that. :rolling:
