Those don't seem to work as advertised. They actually turn undead into sitting ducks.
Undead just won't attack or defend themselves, even liches won't cast spells !!

It makes thoses scrolls far too powerful, and also be warned that it can cause problems with questing: since undead just won't take any action, it prevents quest dialogues from initiating.

Are they that powerful? I've never tried one, but maybe I should.:spin:

I've only used them when soloing, so you might not get the same effect if your party is only partially protected with scrolls... hmmm... might be worth testing. ;)

I agree that they're overpowered. Use a couple of them on two tanks, and you can go through Bhodi's layer really easily. Likweise, scrolls like these makes Kangaxx far too easy to kill.

I never did get to fight Kangaxx. I messed up on the unseeying eye quest so I couldn't get his other two parts. Maybe I should go through another time to test out the scrolls on him.

Besides at Ribald's, that scroll you may buy at temples, plus it appears as random treasure.

I don't know that they are any more overpowered than a cleric's turn undead ability. Cast sanctuary with a high level cleric and then walk into the middle of a bunch of undead -- it's like an invisible blender. Personally, I love watching Aerie explode vampires.

For dialogs, just wait until the scroll's duration expires. Then the dialog will take place and you can kill Bodhi or whomever.

What does the unseeing eye quest have to do with Kangaxx, other than fighting the lich in the sewers potentially endagers the ex-cult members?

I've never understood the whole Sanctuary/Turn Undead, (or even Sanctuary/Blade Barrier) thing. Sanctuary is a spell where you are ignored as if you weren't there, Turn Undead requires that they undead see and fear you and the power of your god.

I believe two of the parts to Kangaxx are in the place where you go for the unseeying eye quest.

You need parts for Kangaxx from the lich in the sewers, and you need to get the key to that part of the sewers from the head priest of the unseeing-eye cult. He always just gave me the key so I could get the rod -- but maybe if you kill him before he gives you the key, he doesn't have the key on him when he dies.

As far as turn undead goes, I don't think it works like that. Undead are immune to fear, and some aren't really even sentient. Fear would be impossible, for example, for a skeleton. Also, the fact that turn undead can actually destroy undead doesn't seem to be related to the cleric being a source of angst for the undead. Still, you would think that an action that causes enemies to explode or be cut to shreds would be counted as an "attack" of sorts, so that it would cancel the sanctuary. Blade barrier cancels sanctuary if you cast sanctuary first.

It's that Gaal guy. I killed him before he gave me the quest so I never got the key to get further into the area.
