[IMG] As the title suggests my wild mage went from he to she whilst trying to create a Mordy sword. I tried to reverse the change through SK (change his gender and appearence to female so that the game would change him back to what he should be. That worked fine and now has "male" on his character sheet and he looks masculine (or at least as masculine as an elf can be) but now the attack animation and weapon colours are buggering up. For instance, his clerics staff should be glowing blue but it just looks like a plain q-staff and his bow (using a mod) has no animation what so ever. A arrow is fired and flys to the target but he doesnt even begin to left his arms. Any help to reverse this problem will be apprecited.

PS: my last while he was still a guy was done about an hour before this occurred which was really stupid of me.

Shouldn't Remove curse work in cases like that? Have you try that already?

Cheers mate, that did work. This is the first time that I have really taken a wild mage far before and using remove curse slipped my mind.

Well, it is not permanent anyway. My wild mage had to spend a few days as a woman. Which was not very bad, since then Kelsey started to romance my PC, and continued the romance even after my PC was cured a few days later. Yeah, sick, but fun nevertheless!

Why did you do that? I soloed a wild mage from Tutu to Underdark once and for more than quarter of adventure he was female. I just changed sounds and portraits and went on. Different experiences are always useful, my char learned lots of things from his female days.

That is one of the more... unsettling things I've read on this board.

^Wait till you hear this then:personally, I would like to be a woman for only one day too! 'Wow! I have 'those'!'

Sorry if I hurt your feelings. :good:

Ehm, well, :o back on topic please, well, it is part of the risk you take as a wild mage. As far as I know, wild mages are generallly brave (or wacky) people with curiosity to try all things new and unique. I do not think a wild mage would sulk when turned into a woman, like Edwin does. 'Ooh what an absolutely brain-shaking experience! I love my wild magic! Now I can understand the women better!' a wild mage would rather think IMHO! ;)

    Wild is really troublesome...
It´s why I NEVER played a mage as main character.
    Haha!

^You can still play as other mage kits, conjurer is a nice speciality, sorcerers are awesome if you do them right. Playing a magetype PC is always fun and creative! Wild mage, while it has the potential to be the most powerful, is generally the most fun of them all! (that is, if you have nothing against turning into a woman for a short period of time! )

What I don´t like when creating a mage character is that they have too poor hp! more than 20...around 30...never more than 40...I found it very hard to accept...

HP is nothing to worry about when you have so many 'powerful' protection spells. A 100 HP warrior will get creamed fast when against an Hasted Golem, while your 40 HP mageling can last forever, with Mirror Image+Stoneskin+Pro From Magic Weapons, not to mention Contingencies and the like!

Also, summon a familiar if you think you have low HP. It helps. They get upgraded in ToB too! And, there is good mage item in ToB which further grants +10 HP. ;)

You would play with yourself, all day long, wouldn't you? We know you, you old perv :p

And yes, hp aren't the mage problem. Althought, there are little things as satisfying as looking at Sarevok's 200+ hps

Play? Play? Yes, ofcourse, why not? I love playing!...err, I mean, ofcourse, I love playing BG2!

(I fear Taluntain will ban all of us soon enough if I keep talking like that! Will you, Tal? :mommy: I am sorry! :o )

I agree Sarevok is rather impressive, but he is Sarevok after all! :p

Though, don't get me wrong, give me a high level arch-magi PC with the right stuff and I can wipe the floor with an army of Sarevoks, any day!

I always thought it was a bit wrong recruiting Sarevok into my party. Regardless of the shaky "But I wouldn't be able to kill you" thing, I just thought it was a bit silly walking merrily around with someone who spent weeks trying to do nothing but end your existence (Along with that pesky "Become the lord of murder" agenda) But still, each to their own...
