[IMG] Can someone tell me what exactly is Sigil, and where it is found?
Please post a link too, if you know one.

Sigil is basically the New York City of the multiverse.

More info is contained in the 3.5E DMG or the Manual of the Planes.

    Okay, here's what I know.

-If you're familiar with the Great Wheel comsmology, then Sigil is in the Outlands. Actually, that's not true - the middle of the Outlands has this giant spire - one that no one can climb up, because, well, it's infinitely long. Sigil is at the top. You get there (and out of there) via portals.

-Everything and everyone lives in Sigil. Elves, Pit Fiends, Aasimars, undead, etc., etc. Anything you can find in the multiverse probably exists in Sigil.

-The strong authories in Sigil are the factions. These can basically be described as philosophers with clubs. Factions have power. Factions vie for power. Factions have different philosiphical ideas about the multiverse. But everyone fears the Lady of Pain.

-The Lady of Pain is an enigma. No one knows who she is, except, well, she's probably what you could name as the most powerful being in the multiverse. She walks around in Sigil occasionally. If you attack or (yes, this is right) worship her, she flays you. If you cause trouble, she mazes you. She isn't the leader of Sigil. She's just there. And anyone unwelcome gets killed.

There are dozens of theories about the Lady of Pain. No one knows the truth, and this is a good thing for creative DMs.
