Has anyone tried any version of the STEP mod compilations for Skyrim?

I find the idea rather compelling: Rather than endorsing a gazillion of unrelated mods that would just conflict to hell (such as installing EVERYTHING listed in GEMS), they created an actual, conflict-free all-in-one step by step solution for anything and everything (and quite a bit beyond) you'd actually WANT in Skyrim, with very few to none thinkable objections even by the most die-hard purist.

Just the fact that going all-in with this requires installing north of 200 separate mods, this is most certainly NOT for the faint of heart. But I really do endorse their philosophy.

    Anyone with REAL experience? :)

I can wholeheartedly recommend STEP. I've used in on almost every run-through I've done and never experienced any problems. They have very detailed instructions on how to avoid conflicts between various mods.

I would recommend, however, that you install the mods using either Wrye bash or Mod organizer (I use Mod Organizer because I've never bothered to learn Bash :p), so you can easily tweak your installation and update between verions.
