For those who read the Story of the Stave (the later parts) you will know of Snarskall and his role in that story. This is in his youth, long before the Story of the Stave, and this is his first time in charge of his fellow goblins as they prepare to raid a small town. Enjoy...

[Edited away due to my intent to submit a rewrite to various magazines (which almost unwaveringly wish for pieces to be unavailable elsewhere). If anyone wishes to read/re-read this piece then email/pm me and I will gladly send it.]

[IMG] The girl's name was Éwyon doughter of Gloink. Her father was the owner of the moist popular bar in town, where he was serving beer and jokes for the paying visitors.

Nobody knew about the great powers that where hidden in this young girls body but now, at the age of 9, she was already a great swordfighter. The town people thought she had learned this from her mother, who had fought in the great war against the Ogre's, But the truth wasn't even close to this. Her mother had trid to keep the sword away from hert doughter as long as possible.
But at the age of 5 the girl found her daddies sword in an oak cabinet that was standing near the kitchen. she took the sword and already felt comfy with it.

Her dad did let her practise with it from that day on telling her that one day she must help the fairy's with it in a great war against demons. The girl didn't know what Fairy's or Demons where. So her dad started to tell her bedtime stories about them...

and now four years later she is standing face to face with a realy evil looking evil...

OOC:  I get it now :heh:
(sorry for the short contribution here, but I'm new at this)

“Ohh, what a cute teddy bear!”

This was her usual reaction when she saw a creature she didn’t recognise. This was not her reaction in this case. Instead, she cried out with an expletive which would normally result in her mouth being washed out with soap; but in this case, she was pretty sure she would be forgiven. Although young and eager to try out her swordsgirlship skills, something in the back of her mind told her that perhaps this was not the best time to do battle. Instead, she ran as quickly as she could back towards her home, with the vile creatures closing in behind her. She was almost at her door when her sword accidentally caught its point on the ground, causing her to tumble headfirst into the dirt…
