I'm seriously stuck in the snow globe in chapter 3. I have talked to the leader dryad, read her and the dwarven leader's journals, talked to the white dragon, found the broken amulet, which requires dwarven craftmanship to fix. However, the dwarves are hostile, and I have killed their leader over and over. I've even tried to kill the dragon, but I've never succeeded.
    So, what do I do?

Leae the snowglobe at the place where you entered it. Click on the snowglobe again and choose the option to turn it around. Now enter it again and the Nymphs should now be the ones who are hostile. You can talk to the dwarf leader, and he will repair it for you. Go back out again and turn it once more, and go talk to the Nymph leader to restore it's magic. Then go into the dragon cave, and the white dragon there should attack you as soon as you come nearby.

You don't necessarily need to fix the amulet to get through it although it is very helpful. All you really need to do is to kill the dragon. If you are having a lot of trouble with the dragon though I would suggest fixing the amulet because it hurts him.

I just beat the dragon, then a crash destroyed the game before I saved it. I never thought of a way to fix the amulet. Abyss, how much does fixing it hurt the dragon? I don't really want to spend another two hours trying to kill that goon.

I believe it hurts the Dragon quite a bit because I made the amulet before I knew there was a Dragon, and the thing attacked me as soon as I approached it.

It was dead in a couple of seconds, and I was completely surprised that it attacked me since I thought I was going to have a chance to talk to it.

Rastor - If I remember correctly, the amulet gives you a 30 resistance to Cold and increases some saves. I don't think it does anything other than that, although maybe some SR as well. I went through the whole deal of restoring the amulet, but then didn't use it. My monk creamed the dragon without taking a scratch. The dragon's AI had it rely almost entirely on its breathweapon, which my 15th level monk was completely immune to, thanks to improved evasion and incredibly high saving throws.

I completed that part last night, after I initially encountered the dragon and killed it, I realized I had forgotten about the amulet so I saved and went back in to see what I missed.

After completing the amulet, when I approached the dragon, he was already at "injured" and immediately attacked.

I think I recieved about 100xp less for killing the dragon with the amulet equipped, or because Linu scored the killing blow that time... how embarassing.

Incidently... Linu used a spell on the dragon in my first fight with it, that did 110 damage  ! It looked like a pillar of red light that comes out of the ceiling, does anyone know what spell that is? I currently suspect it was 'harm' because I was able to kill the dragon on the next shot.

Flamestrike maybe, but that's a ton of damage from that spell. My cleric's max from it is about 60-70 damage with it at level 16. Anyway, how many HPs does the dragon have? I'm thinking he's got to have 200+, because my 60 damage spells weren't even scratching him.
