    According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Next Big Thing in gaming could be "Social Gaming" on Facebook and MySpace.

    Some examples of social games are Farm Town, FarmVille and Mafia Wars on Facebook.

    Hmm, that is a bit strange definition for social gaming. Social gaming as I understand it has existed for ages. So there really is not anything new about this and it certainly will not kill single player gaming or playing games in solitude.

    Well, Farmville in particular is huge now. I'll admit that I have a little farm going. It's an easier and more accessible way to do what I assume World of Warcraft people have been doing for years.

    i see tons of updates on all this game stuff popping up on my facebook feed. never tried it though and have no plans to. also see my youngest brother playing them a lot.

    is this plants vs zombies thing i hear about so much one of them?

    Not that I'm aware of; Plants vs. Zombies IIRC is an indie game that has gotten good reviews (like World of Goo has).
