Have played IWD and HoW, haven't tried Luremaster. Got all, Luremaster included. Want to play again. Either a Bigass Asskicking Paladin of Cosmic Level in HoF mode or a non-traditional set of six characters in normal mode. Would definitely solo in HoF were it not for the fact that Luremaster is something new for me. Opinions, please?

Skip the luremaster quest at all, it's long, boring and annyoing without a guide and you must complete it before returning to the old game or HoW. I only d/l it for the patch and a couple of new, cool, faces.

Soloing is fun and challenging, but so is playing with party. Why to take full 6 character party? You could take 2 or 3. That is good alternative for soloing and 6-character party.

In my opinion TotL is surprisingly good, free expansion. It has many puzzles and hard fights, but it is also awarding. It is worth playing through at least once.

The Luremaster has some really ugly parts to it, if you're playing on Heart of Fury. There's a bum-rush right off the bat, with some other massive battles thrown at you (with the door locking behind you as you step in). A couple of Beholders (read: about 6), and a lot of run-and-fetch stuff.

I'm not really saying it's terrible.

Kind of like X-COM, where your plane would set down at an alien base, and you were surrounded by a bunch of etherals with guided missile launchers and psi amps.

    Wicked like that.
