    I had some questions.
Whenever we create a new multiplayer game, we logon to a server, will there be any lag cause by this server.

This is what I thought: when we created a game, it's all down to your own computer and internet connection. It's not like Diablo Bnet where it depend on the official server. Am I right?

I mean I get crappy gameplay when I hosted around 5 friends on my mod. That KILLED all the fun of buying NWN hoping to relive my pen and paper D&D times. And for goodness sake, I'm using a 256k broadband access. What do I need? A refrigerator sized server?

Although NWN is a nice game, I just wanted to poke fun at the technical ability of the guy who wrote the requirements for the game. Pentium II 300mhz? BAH!

I'm running Duron 800mhz (not very impressive I know) but take that, it's twice of the requirements and I had to turn everything to minimal just to keep a decent gameplay. I mean I don't get to enjoy the true potential of the game! I think the system spec should be altered to minimum 1 ghz CPU, 256 above RAM and a super duper video and sound card etc.

Those gaming companies really got to clean up their acts.

Agreed. The game seems to run ok for some people with low specs, and for some it doesn't. Really, though, the specs shouldn't have been that low to begin with. Undoubtedly, they simply wanted to sell the game to as many people as they could, hence the lower than what they really should have been specs. I could be something else than your specs though. I'd get all the info you could together on your computer's hardware and drivers and ask on Bio's self help forum. It might be something simple that can be changed.

I think Gamespy has crappy gameplay regardless. You might want to check out NeverWinter Connections. From what I hear, they offer a better MP service than what gamespy offers, though I'm not really sure how they do it.

Just out of curiousity, how do you use those servers as opposed to the GameSpy ones? Whenever you go into NWN Multiplayer mode, you are automatically connected to the GameSpy servers.

Wish I could really say for certain. I just know what I've heard from reading Bio's forums. However, from what I've read, Neverwinter Connections gets praise, while Gamespy...well, I'm sure you can imagine what they get. I personally have given hope on playing MP for the time being. I might go back some time, but my free time is more engrossed in the toolset at the moment. Otherwise, I'd check them out.

I think they should of posted a minimum requirement, a suggest one, but then add a full capacity one, maybe make minimum one gig, suggested at 1.2 - 1.5 gig. All I know is that I had to upgrade mine big time, and then found the ATI problem, and since the ATI site seems to dislike giving me my needed driver, I had to follow a link from bioware's forums to get it, I think thats just sad. I agree, they should of raised the minimum requirements.
