List all your favorite spells from ANY game you've played. (A brief description is also nice)

    - Abu's Horrid Wilting from SP games - One of the best attack spells I've ever used.

    - Big Guard from Final Fantasy 7 - Haste, Protection from physical and magic damage all in one go.

    - Mental Cure from Spellcraft - Cures all status ailments and also some HP in no casting time.

    - Make Light from Spellcraft - kills pretty much everything except illusions in the entire level.

    - Magic Zap from Moraff's World - first level spell like magic missile but more damaging.

    - Fake Card from Septerra Core - Makes physical attacks miss most of the time.

    What else?

If PnP is OK, then Geas: Quest, just lotsof fun to cast on other party members. ;)

Psionic Storm from Starcraft, Kill just about anything it's cast on.

Missle of Patience from PST, don't ask me why, I just like it.

    Disintegrate from Arcanum.

    - Revive from Diablo II (best!)

    - GFs and sumonings from Final Fantasy (Ifrit FF8, bahamut ZERO FF7 and Odin (on regular enemies)FF7)

    - magic missle BG series (like above, i like them, they remind me about proton torpedoes from Star Trek  )

    - also raise or call Galabrezu in BGII

    - Lloyd's Beacon in M&M series or Town Portal but Lloyd is better!

White wind, Final Fantasy(seven), doubles the casters current HP, gives the same amount to the other party members, and removes status ailments.

Chaos, BGII, practically destroys the opponents as they will probably end up fleeing, or doing nothing, while you kill the still sane enemies, then take out the chaotic one's.

Levitation/flight, Morrowind and p'n'p AD&D, Has there ever been a better way to escape from a fight, or sneak into someones house? I think not, this method is silent and powerful.

Creation, P'N'P AD&D, create swords armor bridges and whatever, from the raw materials in a few seconds. Picture having to run from the enemy, in a forest, and your party discovers a large river in your path. Simply cast this spell, get across, and chuck a fireball on the bridge afterwards.

I forgot to list Dread from Lufia 1. All it does it lower enemies defense, but I blitzed through that RPG with nothing but brute strength, Dread and healing.

Chain Lightning - Heroes of Might and Magic III & IV (Damages up to four stacks, good power for low cost)

Mind Control - StarCraft: Broodwar (Not only deplete your enemies ranks, but add to your own. Plus you can go over you unit limit with it)

Bone Spike - Diablo II (the spell that keeps on going, and going, and going through your enemies ranks)

This is kind of off topic. If you cast some spells in IWD1, like arganzga'a scorcha and cone of ice, at an enamy target. If the target moves, you still cast the spell at the area where the target was at the moment you clicked on them. Which means that you nearly always waste the spell by attacking thin air.

On topic, my fave spells are Magic missile, Melfs Acid Arrow and Flame Arrow. Also like Spiritual hammer coz it acts like a melee weapon at a distance.

Insect Plague - BG2 (causes 1 damage per second to all enemies without save. Save vs. spells or be counfused for one round. Lasts 30 sec)

Summon elementals - Bg2, ToB (all types of elementals - they're cool)

shapeshift werewolf - Diablo 2 (shapeshifting into werewolf - fast attack, accurate)

    Yeah.

Disintegrate from Arcanum rocks pretty hard. It's like a Phaser, set on kill. Vapor phase change.

Finger of Death has come in handy a few times; I like still doing half damage on the save.

Horrid Wilting and cleric "Harm" spells are also nice when you're Zerg rushed in the middle of a cave.

Chain Lightening and Apocolypse from Diablo can in handy. I still like the multiple arrow skills from the Amazon, in Diablo 2.

    Hmmmmm.

Obviously, Dispel and Spell Penetration; those go like wild fire in Baldur's Gate 2, when you get down in the mage battles.
