From what I've heard, the Venom encounter will be THIS time. Topher Grace is supposed to be playing Venom - at least that's what I've read.

So, I'm a bit confused on the lineup of movies. I was expecting this to be a 3 movie set, the 'Green Goblin' being the 1st enemy, then 'Doctor Octopus', followed by the revenge of Harry as the 'Hobgoblin'. I mean, at the end of the second movie, they shw him hearing the goblin's voice, and IIRC, he finds his dad's little weapon stash...

How many movies are going to be in the Spiderman 'chronicles'?

Oh, and spidy looks badass in black! :rolling:

Whaaa? Venom's supposed to be pretty built. Foreman would make a good Carnage though.

Yeah, I thought Harry would be another Goblin... the second movie definately set that up. The black spidey suit is cool, but he is supposed to be red and blue...

Or is he? I've never read the comics.

Enagonios, Topher Grace as Carnage is a brilliant idea. I've been having a hard time imagining him as Eddie Brock, anyway.

Well I originally had a hard time imagining Toby Macguire as Spidey, so who knows - we may be surprised. Topher Grace may be spending hours a day in the gym to buff up as we speak...

I think Spider-Man 3 would have Green Goblin 2 (or Hobogoblin) and another villain (don't know who, probably The Lizard as his alter-ego was already in part 2). And also a rumor of Black Cat making an appearance. The black suit is probably in preparation for the fourth installment that might have Venom (rumored to be played by Topher Grace). Also, the word is McGuire and Raimi are signed up for only 3 Spideys. So the 4th one is still up for grabs.

But we do know something about Hollywood, the black suit is probably just like the X-Men trend. If you can remember in the first X-Men, Logan was complaining about his uniform and Scott sarcastically say "What do you expect... yellow spandex?" Let's just hope I'm wrong.

@Saber, Spidey did have a black suit in the comic book. It's actually just a series and the suit eventually went to Eddie Brock who became Venom, and if I got it right, it later got to Carnage(?).

It's been a while since I've read Spider-Man as a comic but wasn't there a series where he also had a black suit that was an alien symbiote or so we found out later?

DS: The symbiote suit that Spidey gets is the same alien that makes Eddie Brock into Venom.

I obviously didn't read that far Spidey was never really one of my favourites. Give me the X-Men, Avengers, Steven Strange, Barry Windosr Smith's Conan, Frank Miller's Daredevil anyday. :)
