    10th Marponeth.

They returned to the dungeon and cast their 'preparation spells'. Hayden warding himself against fire and electricity. Passing the place where they slew the carrion crawler they came to a dead end. After searching for a while they returned the way they came. (To Ashe, who was a little behind the others, they seemed to disappear) There was a dwarven waraxe on the floor that wasn't there before. A large spider leapt out of the side cave and scuttled across the roof biting Hayden. They despatched it with the help of a Garacaius scorcher.
The side cave was not how they remembered it, it was now full of webs. Trapped in the webs was a dwarf, called Aresius, whom they cut free. He explained he was the last survivor of the dwarf party exploring Deneston to find a holy relic. They burned out the webs and the eggs.
Garacaius thought they must have passed through a teleport somewhere, Mistle confirmed this when she found the 'dead end' radiated magic. They gathered their party and ventured forth. The next room was full of statues. Hayden and Aresius felt the hairs on their necks stand up. Evil nearby! They were attacked by a pair of gargoyles which they eventualy overcame after a ferocious fight, Majikus swinging with his quaterstaff.
The next room contained a statue and an altar with candlesticks. Mistle tilted one of them and the floor split along the middle, dropping them 20ft into a pool of freezing cold water. Hayden struggled out cursing. "Why didn't I protect myself against cold baths?" Mistle and Aresius struggled and were like half drowned rats when they were eventualy dragged out, shivering.
They relit the lantern and beheld a wondrous sight. A dozen or so pools, all filled with different coloured waters. In the centre of the cavern, a plinth.

    380 xps to Aresius
    400 xps to Jacob
    450 xps to Hayden, Mistle
    500 xps to Garacaius, Majikus
