Stronghold quests

    I have started a multiplayer game and assigned control of all the characters to myself. My goal is to get out of Chapter one (done) and then go around and run through all the Stronghold quests -- ie: I'll complete one stronghold quest, then go back to a saved game right after getting out of Irenicus' Athkatla maze, switch the main character to a different class, and try another stronghold.

    My problem? I've never done some of these strongholds, and the first one I've tried does not seem to be working. I am playing a Paladin with a 19 rep, I did the Anarg's cup quest, and now every time I enter the Radiant Heart they are nice to me but I get no further quests -- it is not my stronghold. Help!!

    Im not 100% positive, but I think that you need to do the windspear hills quest before anything else happens.

    I seem to remember that going there initiate's some trouble with them.

    Another pointer is that the owner of the region, the good guy, not the bad guy, has a women in there who says about being a paladin.

    Hope this works, otherwise it might just be some small issue.

    I'll try that -- in the meantime, another stronghold problem: I slipped a Sorceror(sp) in as the main character, did the whole Planar sphere quest, and then when I spoke with the knights after helping Lavok, they just bailed on me -- no request for my help at all! How do I get the planar quest to work?!

    What do you mean by "slipping a sorcerer" as your main character? Do you mean you deleted the original main character and changed it to a sorcerer in multi-player? That may be the problem. Otherwise, the knights should have asked for your help.

    The string that indicates you already have a stronghold is probably still activated....if you find it you could go back to the end of the planar quest before you talk to lavok the last time and get the sphere.

    One of the unofficial mods has an option to enable all strongholds regardless of your main character's class. Check the BGII section of this site, I think it's in the part for Editors, Hacks, etc., sub-section 7, in the ease-of-use mod.
