From SP's frontpage: Hammers: they do use the axe animation, but it is a pretty quick animation and it works well for either weapon.

The animation for throwing hammers looks the same as throwing axes. This is because we can't do new animations for the player avatars.

Gaahhh! I sure hope this doesn't mean my dwarven dualwielding warhammer barbarian will look like one of those axepansies! :nolike:

Other than that, stuff looks promising once again :) Helmets not protecting from criticals? I think a wise decision, it makes battle a lot more exciting. In BG, you could slip on a helm for one lousy gp, and rid any foe of criticals. Now I can get my head bashed in wether I'll like it or not.

[IMG] Yes I do. Seriously. With BG2, I always had the feeling I was in complete control most of the time, even when soloing. (no 666669, but it should've still provided a challenge) The ease with which one can counteract nearly everything a foe does, is stunning to say the least.

I like having a hard time with games. For example, I'm the kind of nut that has his Diablo2 Sorceress Melee all monsters. :) (and beat the game at the highest difficulty)

Edit: for those who want to read up on my MeleeSorceress, they can find a spotreport here:

Excuse me for kicking myself in.

I'm not sure what are you referring to, but BG2 doesn't have throwing hammer specific animation too and I believe such are other Infinity Engine games.

Dwarven Thrower +3 uses throwing axe animation if used as throw weapon.

I don't find this as something lame.

*Hides in cloack of Embarrassment Shielding*

I swear, I never noticed that. And that while I played through BG2 entirely with a dwarven who threw that thrower. Ohh, the shame. :aaa:
