[IMG] I have had to - yet again- reghost/restore my system.

Anyway, I made sure and backed up the 'save' directory of BG2. I also backed up the 'override' directory.

My question is, now that I have a virgin install of basically just Win 98SE, I want to reinstall BG2, but after the install, can I or should I just be able to take my archived copy of the override directory and overwrite the one created after the reinstall? I can then also just open up my last saved game file to more or less take off from where I had to stop?

Has anyone ever tried or had to try this? I'm hoping I can just copy over the 'override' and 'save' folders into the new BG2 install directories. . . ?

I have installed several BG2 tweaks and edits into the override directory and want to see if I can just overlay them, too. Or do I have to reinstall all the tweaks again on the fresh install?

Please let me know if you have an opinion or answer either way.

    [IMG] Tweaks eh?
    Bah!

I'm warning you - you have to reinstall the WHOLE patch again since it reinstalls main.exe file, dialog.tlk file and some more. It is not whole in override folder.

    For 3rd party cheats - I don't know nor I care.

Yes, keep conditions of your present install and previous install fitting each other.
