[IMG] ok tal, i rebooted my computer which wiped my hard drives and my comp wont store my cookies anymore for my username and password so im wondering if theirs anyway to make them again, ive tried going to preferences and changing the "remember my username and passowrd" and ive mucked around with it to no avail, help me!
if that fails then is their anyway for em to make a new username and for you to add all my old posts on to the new one or sumthin like that?

herf what browser are you using? well check you Internet Options and make sure you have "Cookies Enabled" selected. if your using IE go to the Security section then custom level and you'll find the cookies setting.

[IMG] theyre enabled, i may be called herf but im not stupid!
all it is that the box was checked before my computer was rebooted and IE thinks it doesnt neem to re-make the cookies so it doesnt.

    [IMG] password questions...

Can you reset the "timer" so to speak if you change your password? Or does it only count the year from the day you first registered?

After a year is up do you simply get prompted to enter it again, then it's good for another year?

[IMG] Herf, if you have your browser cookies enabled and if you reset your Forum Preferences and restart the computer, it must work next time. If it doesn't, delete all cookies you have on your HD and then do it again and see if it creates the cookies for you.

Darien, after a year you simply reset your forum preferences again.

I don't bother with the cookie option (which is why it doesn't know me at Skullport until I post :) ). IE5 asks if you want it to remember any passwords you've typed in, and it always remembers what you've entered into a form entry. All I have to do is left click in the "Your Username:" entry box and select my nick and it automatically places my password in the "Your Password" box. Easy.

i can do that as well but i hate doing it cuz it takes up time and valuable energy and when im on the computer im usually wasted and i keep on forgetting to choose my username!
