Sometimes, when using the screen shot option, ie. hitting the print screen key, the game will keep taking continuous screen shots. If this is your problem, simply hit the print screen key again to turn it off.

Mine does that to me also, check your config to make sure you don't have any thing eating all of your memory.(not the screen shot thing)

    this 'bug' really sucks.

    here is some more info:

I had the problem originally when I was in the palace of sardush---just when I entered the first floor (I actually ran away--not expecting the medium sized fight, killed some fighters that followed me, then went back up and killed the mages). the bug started on this floor- and continued on. I restarted my game (actually, just started and earlier save---back when I just entered the secret tunnel to the palace). Whoola--no 'stuttering'

however, the stuttering began again when I lost the big battle with gromnir and restarted my game when I was still on the first level of the passage. VERY VERY VERY PAINFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

my computer stutters sometimes because there are too many character on the screen (in a big fight or crowdy city), maybe your computer just can't handle the game.
