Have dug out my Witch Elves and Harpies and sat looking at them with a kind of :bad: expression... because painting swathes of skin typically sucks and probably one of the reasons Slaanesh converted armies are not as popular :p In essence I think finding a perfect skin tone is going to be a royal pain in the ass and may require me to get some test subjects from somewhere just to alleviate my frustration of making various attempts on models supposed to go in the army and regretting a midtone a few layers later. Usually I have a good eye for colour but for some reason getting skin just right eludes me thus far and usually results in a hue that is either too pinkish or too sallow, I'm guessing a middle ground lies in the combination of paints used in two primary attempts at skin. I shall work on it further I think, maybe use a tile just to get the right order of things. Probably doesn't help faces are so damn tiny! I already use 5/0 brushes for them and still am too shakey to get detail right!
