By far the best Drizzt book yet. And not even because of Drizzt. It's mostly because of the dwarves and the battle outside of Mithral Hall.

Plus anytime that Pikel is in the story it makes it even better.

This may or may not be off topic but where can I find these books and other FR books? I haven't seen them in any book shop around.

Dude, you just want to get on Tal's bad side don't you? ;)

You can of course order all those books through SP! :D

You might even earn yourself an avatar... not that there's anything wrong with your nifty plaque, if you've grown attached to it I'm sure they'll let you keep it ;) :p

Well I don't think Tal can hate me any more then he already does but I don't see how that post was against the rules, I was trying to find out where to get the book so I could read it first hand and what exactly am I supposed to say to

And I'd rather buy it at the shops because
    1. I'm under 18
    2. I don't really have much confidence in the safety of internet shopping

Just go to your local Chapters or the nearest Chapters, they'll have a huge fantasy section with a fairly large area of just for Forgotten Realms.

Just a quick question, I have read the dark elf trilogy but I do not know which way the rest of them go, I assume it is dark elf trio, iwd trio, legacy of the drow, paths of darkness (<-drizzt as well?), hunters blades trio? Could someone perhaps tell me which way to read these books, are there more or are they not connected at all?

The list of reading order is listed here at SP.

    To save you time (the page takes a while to load, there are a lot of images -but it is nice to look at the cover artwork) The order reads thusly;

    Dark Elf Trilogy
Icewind Dale Trilogy - the first written but the second to read
Legacy of the Drow (4 books)
    Paths of Darkness (4 books)
Hunters Balde Trilogy (2 so far)

So yes, the order you had them is correct. I have only read Icewind Dale and Dark Elf, but I believe they all follow a chronological order and are of course tightly related.

I do believe there are some more, not by R.A Salvatore, but related to Menzoberanzen.

R.A Salvatore has also written the Cleric Quintet and the Demon Wars Saga. Not related to Drizzt or the others, but I'm told they are very good books.

Good Luck, for more information, just follow the link.

I think it would still be more logical to go in the order provided in the books; the order that they were written in, since The Dark Elf Trilogy does create allusions to The Icewind Dale Trilogy.

But back to the original topic..I agree The Lone Drow was quite good, but I did not think that was the best. I found The Spine of the World and The Silent Blade to be the best, with Wulfgar's emotional struggles and everything. But maybe that was just because they related to me, and my life, much more so than any of the other books did.

Yeah the order is Icewind Dale Trilogy then Dark Elf, but I found that while reading the IWD series it was a little confusing whenever he mention Zak, Mooshie, and his family. Read the Dark Elf trilogy first.

No joke the last time I looked I found the IWD trilogy after the BG list and bought the Dark elf thinking it had nothing to do with the rest of them ;x Surprised at how many Drizzt books there are ;o

Sorry for nothing to do with topic chit chat ^^
