    It's dehumanization--on both sides. First, the detainees are simply numbers, and secondly, the guards are not people, they're targets. Bad news all round...

    At church this morning we sent a young member off to war - his last visit home from the Army before deploying in about two weeks.

    He has a highly specialized job but if there's one thing this war has shown it's that your military specialty tells you little about what you'll be doing once you get there.
