    Hmm.
Abi-Dalzim's horrid wiltingx2 with spell sequencer.
    Dried barbarian jerky.
Courtesy of Shura, the Kensai Mage.
Of course, your pathetic attempts to break through my Protection from Magic weapons do serve some amusement purposes.

I am a Mage to, Shura I'm sure that you directly understood that the Flail of the ages wil hit you with 3 damage (Disrupting other spell besides your sequenser)
You would't also proberbly need more spells then only the abi's.

This doesn't mean that the Babarian would stand a chance.
(Don't tell them about the that spear that deals out an extra 10 damage, say nothing those no-brains never know) ;)

I had no one to use that spear, so I sold it, but I got only 600 gold pieces for it! I thought it was a great spear!

(mutters incoprehensible ancient Dwarven swear words). Half orc barbarians. I keep hearing about how wonderful they are with their big swords (which they owe to civilisation, without which iron mines, blast furnaces and swordsmiths wouldn't exist). Excuse me for being bitter, but I say we gentrify them out of existence.(no offense to anyone - I'm roleposting as a low Charisma dwarf so I really should be sour and bitter about stuff)

Yeah, but with stoneskin and protection from weapons, i can go head to head with him with C.fury if need be.
1 stunning hit and he's dead. Worthless, undisciplined barbarians.....
Actually Wulfgar of IWD is more of a Fighter than a Barbarian, don't you agree?

[IMG] A barbarian has no chance against a kensai thief - even though I can´t backstabb him with my c`fury, I´ll get the first attack with grandmastery and kai ability - defeating that brutes strength with skill and elegance.

But They have HUGE hitpoints, so if you get the first hit it does about 50 damage, then I come with my daystar and cromfayer (strength 25, main thaco -8, off hand thaco -9) and you can't escape those hits whatever armor you're wearing. 3 to 4 hits of 25 to 45 damage, and you're as dead as you can get!
You'll probably do me some damage, about another 50 or so and I'll still have another 40 hitpoints! We (As Biggreen priest once said) rule the freakin' universe! Buahahahahahaha!!!!!!! :D

Shura, your stoneskin won't help you against the +10 spear damage!

Does anyone know what actually would prevent that 10 extra damage if being hit by the spear.

Stop nagging about the BIG weapons dammit. I'd like to see you take each other on WITHOUT any magical items, and just with plain normal weapons.

Someone seriously needs to come up with a DeathMatch mod for BG2 so we can all make a load of nice Chars and bash the crap outta each other. I'd like to see someone take on my Lvl 19 Blade Delasric. Now he was good...

Come now guys? Barbarians? Samurais? Wizards?

No matter how you try to justify it, you know they have very severe pitfalls.

I don't care how good your character is, they are not the epitomes of destruction or kickassness. These titles are reserved for those horrible monsters you keep memorizing special spells for.

For example, the illithid. Sure, your Barbarian has damage reduction, cannot be sneak attacked, yadda yadda, look at his strength and damage, oh ya, ho hum.

One blast from an illithid and the barbarian is lying on the floor a twitching and gibbering wreck.

So you think your party has handled the illithids very well in the game? This is only because of your reload ability. Any illithid party could stage an ambush for when your Chaotic Commands are not on and saturate your party with Mind Blasts, and later your'd be DEAD. Nary a need to raise a weapon. Maybe a samurai would be a little harder to overcome because of his mental discipline, but even then its not like he taxes his brain and brings himself to the threshold of his mental abilities. And this is only talking about real samurai. Posers can forget any benefits! :D

Or what about the Beholder? Been using the cloak of mirroring have you? What if you did not have it? What if you could not prepare your protection spells before encountering it? Can you protect yourself against three simulateous eye rays per round per arc? No. You'd be electrocuted, petrified, lovestruck, bleeding from serious wounds, disintegrated, etc within the blink of an eye (stalk).

Its a wonder these abominations have not overrun the world yet. These creatures are the epitome of self sufficiency, the top of the food chain with merely their own superior mental or physiological abilities. Think how powerful they can be if they had items, if they had machinery. Many of these creatures are far more intelligent than the average human or demi-human.

Compared to these marvels of evolution, your characters are nothings.

Shura the poser was mindblasted, and in his confusion inserted his katana into his own orifice.

Later he kept his deed secret out of shame. Later still he felt the need to outright lie.

*rakanishu goes home and finds out that indeed, one of his orifices HAS been invaded with a sharp cutting object.*

He who claims that others are mindblasted...must first check if he is mindblasted himself.

[IMG] Shura I'm surprised! Was that a biblical reference from the most notorious paladin slayer on this board? Instead of removing the post from his eye, it's the CF from his arse. Ouch!

This post is mainly a reply to Rakanishu's post about Beholders and Ulitharids.
I utterly disagree, and think that humans are the strongest. I think it will be a good issue to be taken to the "Whatnots" forum and I'll be starting a new thread there under "Humans".
