    Hahaha! nice observation :)

    The books describes various history from forgotten realms lore, some of them are the same as used inbaldurs gate 1, that takes place later. Think if it as a little mistake from the developers side, they just added tonns of the books over from bg1 and wrote up some new ones from current Forgotten realms lore and didn't bother much about the dates since it has nothing to do with the storyline in the game.
