[IMG] I've been and still am a loyal BG and BG2 fan and player. I'm waiting patiently for the release of ToB and am still unsure exactly what it consists of. first, is it like BG ToTSC and just adds some areas as well as x.p. limits or does it have additional storyline? I'm in Florida and haven't seen it on the shelves yet and am told it's scheduled to be in the area on the 29th of June. Please advise.

    Thunderhammer:

    Check out: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/tob_features.php

    In brief:

    TOB has:

    1) Add-in's that will allow you to play BG2 through from the beginning w/ a few new features. (a new class, new spells)

    2) An new area to explore (the Watcher's Keep)

    3) A continuation of the story line after Big Jon goes the way of the do-do.

It has gone gold and most stores will have it availible on 6/22. (2 days from now).

    Better start saving your pennies!

[IMG] Thanks for the link. I hope you're right about the release date. I'll be dead on it.

[IMG] ToB is something that will cause many of us to go into what is best described as a "game coma". It will soon make you smell bad and your eyes sensitive to sunlight.

Allergic reaction to sunlight? Don't forget fresh air. I developed both allergic reactions about a decade ago. :D

[IMG] This is what it is about:

"Baldur's Gate 2 is not an "AD&D simulation." It's a tactical story-based RTS featuring loosely interpreted Dungeons and Dragons-like rules."

"It's about leveling up your characters, gaining new spells and abilities, getting new magical items... and smearing monsters."

"... you can do all the above at level 9 as easily as you can at level 40, however, level 40 sounds better..." :p

yes, level 40 sounds A LOT better. but, if you play legitimently, watch out! (I started playing it without cheats and GEES!)
