    Some people have way too much time on their hands. :rolleyes: 2 is decent, and a good way to wake someone else up. 10 would likely get ruined when I finally had to get out of bed because I'd grab and yank it down so I could reach it from the bed. The rest, well... :smash:

    I was watching one of those shows on the HG TV channel back when we had a dish, and there was this "smart house" in which every room had a control panel, which, if you used it for an alarm, it has the ability to turn on music, turn on the light, and open the blinds... :eek:

    If I were to ever spend 5 million dollars on a house, in addition to the above, I'd also expect it to get a warm shower running, turn on the dryer to fluff up my clothes, and feed the cats as soon as the alarm goes off. :p :rolling:

    All alarm clocks are annoying. It's their purpose, their reason for existing. It's why the things work at all!

    At one point I had an alarm clock that required a rather intricate manipulation to stop it entirely (the "alarm off" button would just snooze it), and I had it on the other side of the room. Yet when it went off I'd get out of bed, turn it off in various ways (I once took the battery out...), return to bed, and never wake up during that entire process. Weird.

    I have a history of breaking alarm clocks. My bedside table features at least three broken ones (I threw the rest out). It's not that I chuck it around the room or anything, it just so happens that after I pick it up and turn in off I put it down forcefully...maybe a little *too* forcefully... :angel: Like last year my friend bought me an alarm clock for christmas (the type with a metal bar in the middle that strikes two metal caps on either side of it rapidly when it goes off) and it broke after 3 days. :angel:

    It *opens* the blinds! :aaa: That's horrible! I hate it when I'm trying to sleep and my brother bursts in and turns the light on deliberately to wake me up. Arrggggh! :flaming:

    Ehh...my Mum used to pull off the covers, and in extreme cases, stick an ice cube down my pyjama shirt when I was late for school... :D

    Maybe some kind of Alarm Robot for the future? Hold you upside down and dip your head in a bucket of ice till you wake up? :D
