[IMG] I have been reading through my NWN World Builder Guide and working with my toolset and I still can't seem to figure out how to get triggered event creatures to leave treasure behind when they have all been killed. Can someone please help me...Does it have something to do with the "on exhaust" script area?

Are you trying to get them to drop a specific treasure or just general treasure when they die? If you want them to drop something specific then you have to create a custom creature, place the item in their inventory and mark it as droppable. Otherwise the chances of a creature dropping treasure is random.

[IMG] Remember, if you create a custom creature (with your custom treasure), you need to tick the "unique" box in the Triggered thing to make sure there's only one of them.

Tripps said most of the rest.

edit: JhonnyRTFM, i was reffering to his 'Custom Treasure', which i assumed was something decent. So unless he wants 10 goblins carrying Vorpal Blades +8, use my idea. :thumb:

I can't necessarily agree with the unique thing. For "bosses" and such with high quality goodies, I would certainly agree, but you can easily create, say, a custom goblin with 4 GP in inventory just to help out low level characters and having 4 or 5 of those spawning is fine.

Thanks for the imput...so you are saying that when the monsters are triggered that they will sometime drop treasure. I was particularly interested in the triggered monsters. I noticed that there are a few areas assigned for scripting in triggered events and I was wondering if there was anything I could do with those areas...for example, "on exhaust". Thanks again for helping me.

[IMG] In case you didn't know, all creatures (including ones in Triggered encounters) have a basic treasure in their inventory.
So that they give off treasure related to your level and/or class.
    :)
edit: what is an "On Exhaust" script??

Well, I guess my original question has been answered. The original creatures (skeletons)that I was trying to get to leave treasure were probably a variety that doesn't leave treasure...anyway I miss-spelled the scripting event and it was OnExhausted. I found it with the list under scripts in the encounter properties. Obviously I'm no scripting pro, so I don't really know what to do with it, but I did start the scripting lessons in NWVault :book: Thanks for your help friends.

I know all creatures have a chance of leaving treasure. My suggestion was to deliberately place some sort of treasure in their inventory to guarantee they leave something behind with the random treasure being an added bonus. That was my interpretation of the original question, anyways.

[edit] Goph, just saw your addendum. Precisely my point. :) [/edit]
