Has anyone tried playing the two triple classes before? So much has been said about human dual class already... makes me wonder if the cleric/fighter/mage or the fighter/mage/thief combinations are worth playing at all.

[IMG] You can find several saves from that game on my site (click my name for more info).

Specialized (**) is max for a multiclass fighter. You hardly need more than that.
Backstab mod? :hmm: Don't recall, I can't remember trying to backstab anything anyway. :)

I have Anomen in the party right now  But one thing i think he should not have as a dual-classed fighter(7/x) is grand mastery. Is that correct???

[IMG] Yes, a fighter can have Grand Mastery (*****) by level 7, all you have to do to check it out is start the game and create a fighter.
Dual class fighters can get GM (*****), multiclass can't.

[IMG] It really isn't a "fix" since specialisation was nerfed on purpose, it's more of a modification. Aaaanyway... I haven't used that "fix", but if you get an extra half attack per round and extra damage it's pretty decent.

Can you post a link to the description of the fix and to the file itself, please?

[IMG] Grand Mastery? No, noone including my "noone can mess with" FMT can't get anything called Grand Mastery in Shadows of Amn.

Perhaps this thread is not in right forum, don't you think?

    /me clicks...

I have been playing a FMT and it is great. All the xp from traps and locks, scribing scrolls and killing things. The only problem I foresee is the inability to memorise 9th level mage spells. Can still use scrolls, but it woould be good...

IIRC, you will also not gain access to mage HLAs; you will only get the ones for fighter and thief.

I'm playing the game with a fighter/mage/thief half-elf and he's doing just fine - sure each skill levels up slowly but your a Jack-of-all-trades - you can do anything and use almost anything.

I initially planned to 'almost' solo it, just myself and Aerie for the romance (haven't tried her yet), and did most of the quests with just her and Minsc (couldn't drop him he's cool - and Aerie is his witch now!) but i'm such a softie for the other NPC's that I know by the time I enter the ToB part I'll have a party of 6 - I like Mazzy too - unstoppable with Gesen Bow!

Plus you can choose from 3 strongholds - I took the thieves guild!
    :D
