    Hi all.
After quite a while without touching the BG saga I got the urge to once again dive into it. Then I went here just to hear the talk and get into the mood some more and I saw what it said under the EE-forums:
"NOTE: If you have installed the BG1Tutu or BG Trilogy mods, or intend to play the EE with them installed, you should be posting in this forum!"

Is that possible? I have googled and searched but found nothing about it. And after thinking a little more about it, would there be a point?
I wanted to play through both with the same guys but since the engine is the same, it seems like simply exporting and importing my guys would do the trick.

So. I know you guys here are the experts. Is there something wrong in my reasoning here? Would exporting from BG1EE and importing to BG2EE give any other problems? Would their levels decrease or stay where they were? Starting with a high level in BG2 seems like quite the bad idea..

And just for reference, I played a TuTu-playthrough like that back in the days but I don't remember what it did with levels and inventory. Anyone knows?

TuTu mods and Trilogy mods are not compatible with EE per se. Many mods have an EE version or have been fixed to work with any combo of Tutu/Trilogy/EE.

    * Note if you try to carry a PC over from BGEE to BG2EE, if you are using any of the kits mods from BGEE, they are not compatible with BG2EE. I really loved the Purple Dragon Knight Kit and the Cleric kit mods for BGEE, but alas, they are a no go in BG2EE.

Don't know about EE, though I would expect importing and exporting would be without a problem. And Tutu and Trilogy do seem kind of redundant for EE.

Importing a character from Tutu it keeps the xp (uncapped, normally, so you might gain some levels on starting BG2) but not most inventory. Most of the items that are common between Tutu and BG2, but they seem to have different references, so an item in Tutu would normally not exist in BG2 and would therefore be automatically lost.

Then there's the fact that Irenicus' dungeon intro strips you of all items (if you have the golden pantaloons, they'll be preserved, though). You can work around this, but normally going from Tutu to BG2 you'd not have many items that transfer anyway.

I don't know how EE handles this, I'd assume most items would transfer, but they'd be stripped just like in the original.

Starting at a higher level in BG2 isn't really a big boost. Level 7 or level 9, you're still pretty low level.

Thanks guys. I didn't plan to do any heavy modding so that's ok.

And if there's only a few levels difference, then it doesn't sound bad to keep going. The inventory was mainly for curiositys sake, half the fun is to scramble up some nice equipment. :)

So I guess I just worried over nothing then. What was the point of that? :p

And while I'm at it.. Is there any must have mods out there? For both 1EE and 2EE?
