Two files only download?

    Remove all ads!
    I know this sounds silly, but I can only download two files at one time. A third transfer doesn't start. I don't know what gives. I remember leeching over ten files back in the day and now I can only grab too. Is there a way to deal with this other than installing some crappy download manager?

    It sounds to me that what ever program you're using to download the files through has a limit set on it. When I download something from the net through my MSN ISP, it can limit how many things can be downloaded at once. Go in to the program's settings and see if there is a way to up the number. :rolling:

    Yes, 2 is the default setting in IE that can't be changed anywhere in the browser itself.

    Firefox seems to have this limitation too. It's rather annoying as I have yet to find any server that comes anywhere close to matching my bandwidth.

    Just get a download manager... I've been using GetRight since my dial-up times years ago. Once it turned into really annoying nag-ware I looked for alternatives, tried 5 of the top rated ones... and they were always missing one option or another that I utilized with GetRight. So I switched back to GetRight. I'd buy it, but these days I only need it once every few weeks, and I just put up with the nag windows then.
