What should a 6-character party consist of? Here are my thoughts.

    1. Main mage. I would choose a sorceror.
    2. Backup mage. Mage/Thief or Mage/Cleric
    3. Fighter. Half-orc Berserker.
    4. Paladin. Inquisitor.
    5. Archer. Elven Archer.
    6. Fighter/Thief or Fighter/Cleric depending on what you chose at #2.

    What do you think?

While the posibilities are endless, that is a good party that would work

Aerie a wild mage? What gave you that idea? I'm not saying it's a bad idea but what inspired you to think of that?

    Gunthar,
Kevlar's mage could use Knock, no problem evens disarms the traps if there are any. And I think Shadow_thief meant that the Sling of Everard gets passed around between those characters not that all three have that weapon.

No, i think shadow thief meant she cheats since she always brags about that.

Besides that, a lot of traps in ToB don't disappear once you spring them. I found this out the hard way with some fireball traps.

Geez, *finally* someone actually *pays* attention to what I post, asides from Extremist. It still seems like forever for me to keep posting that I use SK. And I don't think I'm bragging, more like anouncing to the world that I don't care for what you legit players say about cheaters. And no, I don't pass around the sling. They are all separate.

Well I've played with two combos that seem to work best, one for low level games:

    Fighter D Mage
    Fighter (Berzerker)
    Ranger
    Fighter/Thief
    Cleric/Mage
    Mage

And one for high level games:

Fighter D Mage (naturally dual at a higher level)
    Fighter(Berzerker)
    Ranger
Fighter D Cleric (or Druid, your choice)
    Cleric/Mage
    Thief D Mage

Why just a plain ranger? Why not archer or beast master or stalker?

I still haven't decided what party to play through ToB, especially the watcher's keep. Since it is unthinkable for me to do a dungeon without a thief I am in trouble (to some point ;) ).
I won't like to have Yoshimo, Eddwin & Jan in my party so I will probably choose of my own PC - anyway my party setup might look like that:

    -Sir Camaris - halfling cavalier
    -Keldorn - human inquisitor
-Jaheira, my love - halfelven fighter-druid
-Imoen - dc thief-mage, staff of the magi, firetooth
-Minsc - using dragonsbreath halberd, manabow, silversword or Mazzy, using gesen's bow and cutthroat
-Bragomil - halfling fighter-thief (party sapper) using tansheron's bow, boneblade & kashiko's wakizashi

Tell me, why on earth did you name your chars. Enchantress, Charisma, Slick, Kenshin and El Cid? Legolas is explainable, but the rest?
