Unzipping stuff

    HELP!

    I've downloaded a programme that had a load of fonts in it. I've unzipped the file and everything but I can't figure how to get the fonts onto my programmes so I can use them!

    Any clues?

    [​IMG] You put them in the 'Fonts' folder.

    In the Windows folder on your hard drive.

    Select all the fonts you want, then right-click them and select "Cut". Then go to:
    My Computer -> C drive -> Windows -> Fonts
    Once in the Fonts folder, right-click again and select "Paste".

    I'm not 100% sure you can "Cut" font files. You might have to "Copy and Paste" them or just drag and drop them into the Font folder. Depending on your version of Windows, they should automatically install. You might just be able to right-click the font files and install them that way too. It all depends on your version of Windows.

    I Cut files all the time. If you Copy and Paste, you end up with two copies of the file(s). If you CTRL + X a file and then CRTL + V it in a different folder, it will physically move the file to that location...leaving no trace behind.

    Fonts isn't a location, it's a system task folder.

    (This is not to say your way won't work - nor is it to say that there isn't a font folder - just that when you open windir/Fonts with explorer, it redirects you to the task folder. The fonts are actually there according to a command prompt listing, though.)
