[IMG] Installed some mods and now I have lichs in one of the very first quests: in the Ruined Temple. Would had been real pain in the ass without debug mode... :nolike: Furthermore, skeleton warriors, and many others, seem to be able to cast spells!! Pfff...

What do you think? Is it good that almost every creature, that normally doesn´t (by AD&D rules), is able to cast spells? Or can skeleton warriors cast spells in the pen & paper version?

That's what you get for not reading what the mods do before installing them. Which ones did you install, anyway?

There is no way in hell skeleton warriors can cast spells in PnP. They are just animated corpses that fight well. They don't even have a voice box!

[IMG] I knew someone would made a comment like that(hello Taluntain); usually I do read them("readme"s), but in this instance there was about seven or ten of those, so I did not bother. Which one? All. :p Guess it was that "improved random encounters" -thing.

It´s quite understandable to give skills like that in name of challenge, but it gives an impression that the game is unfair; that the computer doesn´t play with the same rules as the player. That is what shucks...

The computer doesn't play with the same rules as players? I see, so you want the computer to use fake talk, ctrl-Y, beating you up through doors so that you can't get through? :D

Personally, I like those mods. The game is far too easy without them.

[IMG] It´s easy with the core rules, and I like to play by the rules - but with challenge. What I´m scrutinying now is that the mod creator should have made all those improvements so that they would had fitted into any AD&D PnP game. Ok, mind flayer casting Horrid Wiltings is fine with me, but skeleton warriors? And having adamantine golems(three of them) in Windspear Hills? Try then take ´em out with lv.9 characters and weapons of +1! :nolike: Debug mode has been made for situations just like this!
