Water bowl reward--spoiler

I didn't believe a word those fishermen north of FAI had to say(whispering behind my back like that) so I helped the little girl and recovered the magic bowl. She told me some goddess would be pleased and would reward me. My question is when and how?

 

The goddess is Umberlee, the Bitch Queen.
When: At some point during your stay in Baldur's Gate (you'll probably notice ).
How: Don't remember, but I think it's something you want to find out yourself...

Later in Baldur's Gate there will be a quest involving Umberlee's Temple and a boy. I won't get into to details, but helping out Tenya the priestess leads to alternative solutions to working out that quest.

 

This quest gives no reputation increase or decrease, no matter what way you choose. Helping the Fisherman gives you a Flail +1, Bracers of Defense AC7, 1000 XP and the rest of the Loot and 1650XP. Helping Tenya gives you 2500 XP and The Flail +1.

 

It makes sense to help Tenya. Her quest is interconnected with the dead boy in the museum area in baldur's gate. Have you saved her, you don't have to pay for his rescue - she'll do it for free

Killing Tenya give less XP, not cause of the quest XP but teh 3 fisherman are worth more XP I suppose. I'm not sure about this for I never helped Tenya. Just knew that for it was also discussed in another post. This time I will help Tenya and see what happens

 

For some reason i never got this quest to work, could someone tell me what i should do to make it function.
And i have used Know Alignment on both groups and they are all evil IIRC. Of course the cleric is seeing that her Patron Deity is evil.

 

To avoid to kill her accidentally, I usually attack here with bare fists and disarm all missile weapons in my party (plus disabling party AI .... that always worked for me

Firestorm, the fisherman will ask you to kill Tenya, who pesters them when they are fishing But you find Tenya, you can kill her, or listen to her, believe her and promise to help her. She wants you to retrieve the Bowl of Elemental Control, that one of the fisherman has. After they gave it to you you can even kill them without a reputation penalty.
