[IMG] I recently had comcast add digital voice to my home, and I received a new cable modem for the internet hook-up. Since the technicians installed it, every website I go to is missing the background colors.

For instance, Sorcerer's Place usually has an alternating dark/light blue on the message boards; now it's completely white. The technicians were playing playing with my pc for about an hour - Does anyone know why my web pages are completely white?

    Can it be fixed? HELP!!

Style sheets are probably turned off. Do you use Firefox or IE (or something different)?

In Firefox, go to View -> Page Style and make sure Basic Page Style is tagged.

In IE (6, I haven't upgraded to 7, so I don't know if it works the same). Go to Tools->Internet Options, and then under the General tab, the 'Accessibility...'-button. Make sure nothing is checked.

I hope that fixes the problem.

I have IE. I checked the Accessibility area, but nothing is checked. Any other suggestions?

Nope, sorry. The only thing I could figure is that your browser is somehow ignoring the colors of a website, and these are the only ways I know of.

    Try this:
Select tools > Internet options > Colors > De-select Use windows colors.

I found it...I tracked down the guy and asked him if he changed any settings on my pc - he said he changed my control panel to use high contrast. I deselected the checkbox for that and now everything is fine. Whew! I was getting mad!!
